Publication Ethics

This section describes the ethical code of reference for all parties involved in the publication of scientific articles on Jurnal Ilmiah Rekayasa Pertanian dan Biosistem, namely Editor in Chief, Editors, Reviewers, and Authors. The code of ethics of scientific publications upholds three ethical values in publication, namely (i) Neutrality, free from conflicts of interest in the management of publications; (ii) Justice, which is to give authorship rights to those who are entitled as authors; and (iii) Honesty, which is free from duplication, fabrication, falsification, and plagiarism in publications.

Editor in Chief's Responsibilities

Editor in Chief is responsible for publishing manuscripts that have gone through the process of editing, reviewing, and lay out in accordance with the rules for publishing Scientific Journals.
Editor in Chief is responsible for guaranteeing academic freedom for editors and best partners in carrying out their duties.
Editor in Chief is responsible for maintaining privacy and protecting intellectual property and copyright, and editorial freedom.

Editor's Responsibilities 

Jurnal Ilmiah Rekayasa Pertanian dan Biosistem editor is responsible for deciding which texts are worthy of publication. The editorial board meeting to determine the manuscript that is worthy of publication refers to the applicable legal requirements.
The editor must ensure that the proper publication text does not contain elements of defamation, copyright infringement, duplication, data fabrication, data falsification and plagiarism. Plagiarism detection is done online using an account on the site https://www.turnitin.com/.
The Editor of Jurnal Ilmiah Rekayasa Pertanian dan Biosistem is responsible for safeguarding the privacy of any information about the manuscript entered only for the sake of publication, except with the author's permission. Unpublished manuscripts will be returned to the author, will not be used by the editor for personal gain/interest.
The editor must always refer to the principle of equality of treatment in the process of reviewing and receiving the manuscript, ie the published text does not distinguish the race, gender, religion, ethnicity, nationality or political ideology of the author.

Reviewers' Responsibilities

Reviewers are responsible for providing recommendations on the texts they review. The study of the manuscript is done objectively, supported by clear arguments. Recommendations from the reviewer play an important role in assisting editors in making editorial decisions on the submitted manuscript.
Reviewers are responsible for citation, reference, duplication, fabrication of data, falsification of data and plagiarism of the texts reviewed.
Reviewers are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of information and does not use information from texts that it reviews for personal gain / interest.

Author's Responsibilities

The author is responsible for presenting the text of the results of his thoughts or research clearly, honestly, without duplication - fabrication - data falsification, and plagiarism.
The author must write the script ethically, honestly and responsibly, in accordance with applicable scientific writing rules.
The author must show a reference to the opinions and works of others quoted.
The author is responsible for confirming the manager submitted for the manuscript that has been written.
The author is responsible for providing additional information in the completion of the manuscript for publication if needed.
The author does not object if the text undergoes editing without changing the substance or main idea of writing.
